RCC Box Culvert Download in Dwg Format
A box culvert is a tubular structure that is buried beneath the ground to carry a road or waterway over another roadway, railroad tracks, canal or river. Box culverts are rectangular cross-sections made from steel, polymers, concrete reinforced with rebar (reinforced concrete) or other material.
RCC box culvert is a modified version of the box culvert.
It consists of two walls, the bottom slab and the cover slab. These two walls are connected at either end with end-wall blocks that afford a watertight joint between the cover and bottom slabs.
The wall blocks in the middle of either side are used to support longitudinal beams and transverse diaphragms that carry shear loads from longitudinal girders or steel plates to provide stability to box culvert structure.
